I am often reminded by my patients how precious our eyes are, and so it is not surprising that changes in vision or other problems affecting the eyes or eyelids can be worrying. Your optometrist or family doctor may be able to offer treatment and reassurance, but sometimes the expert opinion of an ophthalmic surgeon is needed.

I can provide that opinion and give you the benefit of over twenty years experience providing comprehensive high quality care in ophthalmology and expertise in cataract, eyelid and tearduct surgery.

I moved to Shropshire with my family in 1996, to take up a position as Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon to Shropshire Hospitals. Since then I have been providing ophthalmic medical services to NHS and private patients across Shropshire and Mid Wales.

As an NHS consultant I am employed by the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust, providing clinics and surgery in both Shrewsbury and Telford.

I also offer private practice clinics at the Shropshire Nuffield Hospital, St Michael’s Clinic Shrewsbury and Jane Smellie Opticians, Whitchurch.
