I qualified from Westminster Medical School in 1982 and completed my basic surgical training in the West Midlands in 1987. I then commenced comprehensive training in ophthalmology, gaining wide experience while working in Coventry and Sheffield. In 1996 I received subspecialty training in oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery at the University of Nottingham before moving to Shropshire to take up my current position of consultant ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon.

I have been performing small incision cataract surgery for almost 20 years and I have now carried out over 10,000 cataract operations.

My additional subspecialty training, and many years experience, enables me to provide an expert oculoplastic service, offering surgical treatments for functional and cosmetic disorders of the eyelids and mid face. My lacrimal expertise enables me to treat complex abnormalities of the nasolacrimal system which cause watery eyes.
