Cataract Surgery

A cataract is a clouding of the natural lens in the eye which causes a deterioration in vision. As a cataract develops you will find that even when wearing glasses, your vision is not as clear as it used to be or you may start to be troubled by glare from bright lights. Your decision when to proceed with cataract surgery will depend on the severity of the visual symptoms and how they affect your daily activities. If you have a cataract and wish to consider surgery, your optometrist will recommend a consultation with an ophthalmic surgeon. At that consultation, I will confirm whether cataract surgery is going to be beneficial to you and provide all the information that you need if you decide to proceed with an operation.
